Abstract
The detn. of cardiac outputs by the pressure pulse method agrees well with the direct Fick method. The avg. variation between the 2 measurements is +12.2% with a range from +23% to -15.5%. The coeff. of correlation, corrected for small samples, is r = +0.936. Directional changes in cardiac output can be conveniently followed by the pressure pulse method. Keywords
