Abstract
A mating scheme using crossover suppressors and dominant mutant markers was used to test chromosomes 2,4, and 5 for the presence of a postulated female determination factor (F) in the house fly, Musca domestica L. The data were negative for tests with chromosomes 2 and 5, but positive results were obtained for the presence of F on chromosome 4. Subsequent mapping showed that F was closely linked to the Ba (Bald abdomen, dominant) locus on chromosome 4.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
