Abstract

Eight nitrofurans related to 2-[2-(5-nltrofuryl)vinyl]-4-quinollnecarboxylic acid and 6 Schlff bases on 5-nitrofuraldehyde were prepared and tested for their effect upon Ehrlich ascltes carcinoma In mice. As the results, 2-[2-(5-nitrofuryl)vtnyl]-8-quinolinol acetate and 2-[2-(5-nltrofuryl)vinyl]-4-qulnolinecarboxylic acid hydrazide were shown to be very effective In inhibiting the cancer cells growth.
