Abstract
After acute coronary occlusion in the anaesthetized dog, heat clearance from a heated thermocouple declined slowly, whereas heat production fell abruptly, thereafter recovering slightly. Since heat clearance depends on total flow and heat production on nutritional or capillary flow, it is suggested that non-nutritional flow channels may exist in the myocardium. Keywords
