Abstract
The proposed structure of the ornithine-containing lipid of Bordetella pertussis is 3-hydroxyhexadecanoic acid amide-linked to ornithine and esterified to the second hexadecanoic acid. The aminolipid strongly agglutinates type A and B human erythrocytes. Keywords
