Abstract
Cl4-menadione (2-methyi-C14-l,4-naphthoquinone) was prepd. and admd. intramusc. to mice in doses of 1 and 01 mg., and to cholecystonephrostomized dogs in a dose of 1 mg./kg. The radioactivity was rapidly absorbed and excreted in the urine. Quantities of radioactive material were not found in any tissue. With the largest dose (1 mg./25 g. mouse) a trace of activity was found in the liver and lung. The activity in the urine was attached to a single compound but a 2d component appeared on mild hydrolysis of the urine. Keywords
