Abstract
A case is presented of feminization postpubertally in a genetic and phenotypic male with atrophic, non-neoplastic testes and normal urinary gonadotropin excretion. Following orchiectomy, penectomy and artificial vaginoplasty, gonadotropin excretion rose, feminization faded and menopausal symptoms developed. Biochemical and biologic assay of the testes revealed a supernormal content of estrogen. Estrogen production by the Leydig cells in the development of this syndrome is suggested. Keywords
