Abstract
L1-transfected L cells show a markedly enhanced ability for neuronal cell binding and promotion of neuron migration compared with control L cells. Further, when purified L1 was used as a culture substrate for neurons, it was found to promote neuronal adhesion and enhance the speed of migration of cerebellar neurons from reaggregated cultures, indicating that it is involved in a determinant step of neural cell migration. Keywords
