Abstract
An expansion of health programs, higher standards, and better coordination of existing and future programs, improvements in services, financing and in the control structure are needed. The great health need of the nation is the management of systems of meeting the variety of health concerns and of integrating the direction of these systems with all the other broad matters of public policy. People in health service programs should have a knowledge of political processes and the interplay of the legislative, administrative, and judicial branches of government, comprehend group and individual dynamics and the community power structures, have a feel for the administrative process, and understand health problems and processes.
