Abstract
Two g. Na dextran sulfate is dissolved in 66 ml. water and 33 ml. absolute. ethyl alcohol added. Blood sample tubes are moistened with 0.05 ml. of this soln./ml. of this soln./ml. blood and dried at 37[degree]C. Plasma protein precipitation is not interfered with by less than 40 mg. dextran sulfate/ml. plasma. Urease, Nessler''s reagent, glycolysis by red cells, hematocrit and hemoglobin detn. and red and white cell counts are also not interfered with. However, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate is slightly affected. Keywords
