Abstract
Penicillia (49% of 155 isolates) and aspergilli (38%) were the predominant molds isolated from food stored in private homes. Samples were taken from refrigerated and non-refrigerated food, and from refrigerator surfaces. Aflatoxin (9 isolates), kojic acid (3), ochratoxin A (3), penicillic acid (1), and patulin (1) were detected when culture extracts of isolates were screened for the presence of toxic mold metabolites. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
