Abstract
Nuclear-magnetic-resonance measurements of spin-lattice relaxation time, Knight shift, and linewidths have been made for and contained in Sc. Rigid-lattice proton linewidths indicate that the hydrogen is randomly located among two interstitial sites in hcp scandium. Both the spin-lattice relaxation rate and Knight shift for decrease relative to the values for scandium metal in such a manner that the Korringa product remains constant. Diffusion parameters are determined from the proton data.
