Abstract
Magnetization reversal processes in thin evaporated films of cobalt have been studied by hysteresis loops measured using the Kerr transverse effect, and by the Kerr longitudinal effect for domain observations. The results, given for films deposited both with and without an applied field, indicate that the films are `normal' (i.e. with Hc < Hk) with uniaxial anisotropy constant Ku equal to 43 × 103 erg cm-3.Keywords
