Abstract
The vegetation of the cliffs of the maritime and Ligurian Alps includes numerous endemic species, mostly localized in the lower mountains, but with a maximum in the valley of the Roya, where they appear in the calcicolous alliance Saxifragion lingulatae. On the high Ligurian range, an imposing wall between the Piedmont plain and the Mediterranean hills, 3 interesting species are found: Senecio persoonii, Helianthemum lunulatum, and Silene campanula. Their distribution and ecology are pointed out.
