Abstract
Prematurity is the most important factor contributing to the high perinatal mortality among twins. There is evidence that a week of rest at the thirty-second week lessens the risk of prematurity. Special attention should be given to delivery and management of the second twin, who fares worse than the first. The ideal time for delivery of the second twin seems to be 5 to 15 minutes after delivery of the first. Keywords
