Abstract
Two patients are presented with carcinoma of the lung who had the carcinoid syndrome. In 1 patient the tumor was an oat cell carcinoma and in the other an undifferentiated carcinoma. Both patients had elevations in the blood serotonin and urinary 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid levels. Tissue from the primary tumor metastases obtained at autopsy in 1 patient contained substantial amounts of serotonin. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
