Abstract
The colors of seven shades of a conventional composite and five shades of a microfilled composite were measured by reflection spectrophotometry at three thicknesses and for two backgrounds. Intrinsic color was determined from reflectirity data computed from optical properties. As thickness increased, the color approached the intrinsic color. Differences in color among shades were statistically significant. Keywords
