Abstract
The continued growth of radium, according to the square of the time, from uranium preparations purified in 1905–1909, has confirmed the value for the period of ionium obtained by this method previously, rather than the somewhat higher values of Stefan Meyer and Mmes. Curie and Gotello using a ghorium-ionium preparation for which the proportion of ionium had been deduced from atomic weight determinations. The work gives the values when the period of average life of radium, Θ n, is taken as 2300 years.
