Decouverte d'une roche volcanique (andesite) dans la zone du Flysch des Aiguilles d'Arves

Abstract
Reports the discovery of a Tertiary andesite flow, probably submarine, at the base of Flysch formations near the Aiguilles d'Arves massif, France. This represents the second known occurrence of volcanic rock in place in the western Alps and clarifies the problem of the origin of the eruptive material in Flysch sandstones.
