Abstract
"An experiment was conducted to determine whether the degree of similarity of positive and negative stimuli during differential operant conditioning would affect the size of the generalization decrement (slope of the generalization gradient) when the positive stimulus was subsequently changed along another dimension…. Training which increases the slope of the discrimination gradient along the dimension on which S-super(D) and S-super(Δ) fall also increases the slope of the generalization gradient on which S-super(D) and S-super(N) fall."
