Ground-State Correlation and the Isobaric Analog State

Abstract
For an system interacting through a Hamiltonian including the Coulomb interaction, the effect of proton-neutron correlations on the ground state and its isobaric analog is discussed. It is shown that the correlation greatly reduces the isospin impurity in the ground state.
