Abstract
The nature of the interaction between Mn atoms which is responsible for the helical magnetic structure and the metamagnetic behavior of is examined by analyzing the magnetic behavior of Au-Mn system in general. From the comparison of the magnetic structure of and that of , the magnetic dipole interaction is suggested as one of the possible main weak interactions which connects the successive layers of Mn atoms of .
