Abstract
A combined polarographic oxygen and ion‐selective sulfide electrode built in a stainless steel needle was developed to determine in situ profiles of oxygen and sulfide in sediments. The combination of these two sensors (tip diameter: oxygen, 10 µm; sulfide, 100 µm) in one needle (1‐mm o.d., up to 750 mm long) enabled detection of coexistence of oxygen and sulfide in patchy sediments. Keywords
