Regge cuts and charge-exchange reactions in the triple-Regge region

We estimate thė Regge-cut contribution to the inclusive reactions ${\pi }^{-}p\to {\pi }^{0}X$, ${\pi }^{-}p\to \eta X$, and $K^{-}p\to {\overline{K}}^{0}X$ in the triple-Regge region. We find that the magnitude of the cut is less than about one-half that of triple-Reggepole contribution near $t=-0.5\mathrm{}$ ${(\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/\mathit{c})}^2$. We discuss the implications of this for the interpretation of the $t$ dependence of these reactions.
