The r.v. Oceanographer's Global Expedition provided a unique opportunity for guest scientists of 17 nations to take part in a world-wide marine research programme sponsored by the Environmental Science Services Administration, United States Department of Commerce, using the equipment and facilities of one of the world's largest ocean going research vessels.Keywords
