Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 73-year-old man was admitted to the hospital with a diagnosis of a contained, ruptured aneurysm of the left femoral artery.The patient was a retired shipyard pipe fitter, with known exposure to asbestos. He had smoked one pack of cigarettes daily for 30 years and then switched to pipe-smoking 32 years before admission. He also had “chronic bronchitis,” which was managed with theophylline, and hypertension, which was treated with enalapril.
