Abstract
Constitutive relations, based on the Bailey-Orowan’s creep theory, are used to develop a maximum work condition which includes the influence of an internal state. A bounding theorem on displacement is obtained for structures subjected to cyclic loading. An application of the bound is illustrated.Keywords
