Abstract
Of 547 children s eeg, 19 revealed 14 and 6/second positive spike activity during the drowsy and sleep stages of the routine eeg recordings. The electro-physical characteristics of this activity are described. The patterns arose chiefly from the temporal and occipital lobes. Case histories revealed a wide variety of unrelated non-specific clinical symptoms. The diagnosis included head injury, epilepsy, behavior problems, birth injury, Friedreich''s ataxia and congenital deafness. The findings were not considered conclusive. Keywords
