Abstract
This paper presents the crystal structure of antimonious xanthate, Sb (S–CS–O–C 2 H 5 ) 3 , which has been solved with two Buerger equator photographs. Space group: R [unk], a = 10.13 Å, α = 103° 30′. The structure has been refined more than the arsenious xanthate structure, already published as the first contribution to this research program. Each antimony atom is surrounded by three sulfur atoms at a bond distance and by three sulfur atoms at a distance 20% greater: the six sulfur atoms together form a kind of distorted octahedron. The group S–CS–O is planar; its dimensions have proved to be those foreseen in the first paper on the subject. Keywords
