Factors Which Influence Sexual Decisions

Abstract
This study reports on the development of a questionnaire for determining factors which influence sexual decisions. Based on the six stage model of sexual decision-making, six non-parallel factors emerged which account for 48.55% of the total variation. These factors can be used as subscales in determining profiles for specific individuals or groups. The procedure used in shortening the original scale to a more useful instrument was described. High reliability, content and construct validity are reported. Concurrent and predictive validity will necessitate more experienced subjects and/or longitudinal study. It is concluded that significant research could be stimulated utilizing this questionnaire.
