Abstract
Diffusion coefficients have been obtained for binary mixtures of paraffin hydrocarbons and for mixtures of paraffin hydrocarbons with benzene using a diaphragm cell. The results have been tested by the equations of Arnold, of Stokes and Einstein, and of Stearn, Irish, and Eyring. Of these only the semi‐empirical relationship of Arnold gives satisfactory agreement with experiment. Keywords
