Abstract
Carcinoid tumors of the rectum comprise only about one per cent of all anorectal neoplasms. Typically, rectal carcinoids present as small, solitary submucosal nodules. Multicentricity is rare. A patient is presented with the finding of four discrete rectal carcinoids. The clinical presentation, treatment options, and results are discussed. The controversial issue of aggressive surgery versus local excision is highlighted. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
