Abstract
A method of generalizing a class of invariants for a time-dependent linear oscillator is developed for the motion of a mass point in one dimension with a general time-dependent nonlinear potential. Formulas are derived for the allowable time-dependent potentials and for the corresponding invariants. The method by which these conclusions are reached is interesting theoretically and is explained in detail. Keywords
