Abstract
Leukocyte migration capillary tube technique (LMCT) was used on leukocytes from 11 patients prior to acoustic neuroma surgery and 16 healthy control persons. The LMCT was carried out against acoustic neuroma extract. produced prior to the study, with the use of normal temporal lobe extract as control antigen. Four patients and one control person exhibited consistent cell-mediated immunity (CMI) against acoustic neuromas. The method is of no diagnostic value, but the results are sufficiently spectacular to merit further research. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
