Abstract
Summary: A satisfactory method for the preparation of antisera against encapsulated strains of Cryptococcus neoformans has been described. By use of the agglutination test, capsular reaction, and agglutinin absorption, nineteen strains of C. neoformans have been divided into three serologic types which have been designated as Types A, B, and C. The capsule is concerned with type specificity as judged by its reaction in antiserum.
