Abstract
Despite their relatively recent introduction business games seem to have made a real contribution in the area of management development. Further progress should be made in measuring and validating the utility of specific games for specific purposes such as employee selection and appraisal. This article describes one attempt at structuring a quantitative business game evaluation model. A composite game performance score incorporating weighted values for six factors pertinent to business decision-mailing is developed as the criterion variable. This norm is then compared statistically with several independent variables including attributes such as intelligence and initiative. Results seem to indicate that quantitatively expressed business game evaluation models can serve a very useful purpose in the broad area of management development. Keywords
