Abstract
A non-iterative method presented by R. W. Klopfenstein for generating loci of solutions of algebraic equations of the form F(x) = 0 is used to generate solution loci for the load-flow problem. In addition, the method is constrained in such a way as to generate quasi steady-state trajectories under prescribed system changes. The method is equally useful for finding the steady-state stability limit and the number of solutions that exist in the singular point problem. The locations of these multiple singular point solutions are also obtained. Examples of three, four, and six bus systems are included to illustrate these applications of the technique. Keywords
