Abstract
The author describes the blue arc phenomenon and discusses its formation. An after-image can be obtained, consisting of a slightly greenish yellow. The evidence of Nodan is cited, that a nerve fiber when stimulated gives an emanation which enables it to take its own photograph. It is suggested that these emanations may be in the nature of visible light, and that the blue arc phenomenon is a bioluminescence on the part of the stimulated nerve fibers, rather than a secondary induced current effect as previously supposed by others.
