Abstract

Given a uranium atom moving in U, UC, or UO₂, a carbon atom moving in UC, or an oxygen atom moving in UO₂, with energy <10 MeV, the fraction of that energy which is dissipated in atomic motion is calculated. Results are presented in graphical form.
