Abstract
Given a uranium atom moving in U, UC, or UO
2
, a carbon atom moving in UC, or an oxygen atom moving in UO
2
, with energy <10 MeV, the fraction of that energy which is dissipated in atomic motion is calculated. Results are presented in graphical form.
