Abstract
PROM device resolution has been studied theoretically and experimentally. The results show that at high spatial frequencies the diffraction efficiency of the device is inversely proportional to the fourth power of the spatial frequency. This law is explained by the volume character of the charge which is formed during recording. Keywords
