Abstract
From measurements of the heats of aqueous alkaline hydrolysis at 25 °C the standard enthalpies of formation of the following fluoroiodates are derived: ΔHf°[NalO2F2,cryst.]298= 202·85± 0·3 kcal mol–1(–848·7 ± 1·2 kJ mol–1); ΔHf°[KlO2F2,cryst.]298=–209·5 ± 0·3 kcal mol–1(–876·6 ± 1·2 kJ mol–1); ΔHf°[RblO2F2,cryst.]298=–209·2 ± 0·3 kcal mol–1(–875·3 ± 1·2 kJ mol–1) and ΔHf°[NH4IO2F2,cryst.]298=–178·7 ± 0·3 kcal mol–1(–754·6 ± 1·2 kJ mol–1). Estimates of lattice energies and other thermodynamic parameters are also reported.Keywords
