Abstract
More than 120 patients with recent spinal cord injuries were seen. Intermittent catheterization was the preliminary step in urologic management of these patients. The transcutaneous suprapubic cystocath with intermittent aspiration of urine was also used in 7 cases. A bladder outlet operation after 3 mo. was indicated 3 times more often in patients with complete than in those with incomplete neurologic lesions. Results and indications were discussed. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
