Opaqueness ofppCollisions from 30 to 1500 GeV/c

Assuming only the eikonal approximation and the approximate reality of the $S$ matrix for elastic scattering we evaluate from experimental data the opaqueness of $\mathrm{pp}$ scattering from $p_L=30\mathrm{} \mathrm{to} 1500$ GeV/c. Parameters $X$ and $Y$ which characterize the shape of the function $1-S\left(b\right)\mathrm{}$ are defined and discussed.
