Abstract
In order to investigate the high-temperature phase H, two methods were applied: addition of copper and deviation of the composition from stoichiometric Au3Zn. A model for the two different types of interface between periodically ordered domains is presented and a trace analysis of rectilinear boundaries is carried out. Extra spots in the diffraction pattern are predicted by treating the formation of periodic domains as a twinning in the tetragonal lattice. Keywords
