Abstract
In this paper we study the optical absorption of chiral media subject to a magnetic field parallel to the light. It is shown to exhibit pure and cascaded magnetochiral anisotropy. We present experimental evidence for the existence of pure magnetochiral anisotropy in absorption. Keywords
