Abstract
Twin-to-twin transfusion has been reported to be treated by serial amniodrainage, laser coagulation of placental communicating vessels, and in severe cases, selective feticide. This report illustrates a new therapeutic technique, the rupture of the intertwin membrane. It was associated in at least two cases with an improvement in the discordant amniotic fluid volume, fetal Doppler velocities, and growth parameters. (J GYNECOL SURG 12:183, 1996)Keywords
