Abstract
In CS2 a quasistationary state is observed with Brillouin power increasing linearly with laser power. High conversion efficiency up to 90% is found within a few millimeters of the liquid cell. In toluene intense Brillouin pulses occur with power values exceeding the instantaneous laser power. Keywords
