Unusual Bone and Lung Changes in a case of Gaucher's Disease

Abstract
Gaucher's disease is a rare familial disorder of unknown aetiology. Proliferation of “Gaucher” cells in the reticulo-endothelial system results in hepatosplenomegaly and bony changes. The latter consist of thinned bone trabeculae with flask-like expansion of the lower ends of the femora. Less commonly actual bone erosions occur. Bone involvement is usual in the adolescent and adult forms of the disease, but very unusual in the first decade. We wish to report such a case.
