Abstract
Upper limits for yields of certain isotopes of argon from fission of by thermal neutrons were determined radiochemically as follows: , ≤1×%; , ≤4×%; , ≤3×%; , ≤3×%. The upper limit for the fission yield of (daughter of ) was determined as ≤8×%. The yields of these isotopes are three to seven orders of magnitude lower than those expected from thermal-neutron-induced ternary fission of as described by Muga.
