Abstract
300 g. [male] rats were fed a fluid diet containing 15 g. of carbohydrate/day. Pure adrenocorticotrophic hormone was injected subcut., 7 mg./day for 10 days, into 5 of the rats. Four rats developed glycosuria from the 2d day on. Autopsy on 2 showed wts. of 146.5 and 131.1 mg. for adrenal glands compared with control wts. of 36 mg. Hor-mone withdrawal in 3 rats was followed by disappearance of glycosuria. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
